Why Shouldn't Parents Spank Their Kids?

I spank my three kids the way my parents spanked me -- over the knee, with a hairbrush, on their bare behinds. They are good kids, but every once in a while, they need some serious discipline, and spanking works. My son is 7, and my daughters are 10 and 12. My 10-year-old got it a couple of weeks ago for coming home almost two hours late without calling. Her little tush looked like two Japanese flags by the time I was finished with her (LOL), and I'll bet she never messes up like that again.

They should spank their kids,in moderation. I got spankings on my bare bottom with either of my parents open hand. It hurt for a little while but i was well behaved for a long time after. My husband was spanked very hard on this clothed bottom and saw it as abusive. My parents were loving after a spanking and it was never brought up again. A moderate,aka light spanking is good. I was spanked, not often but even in high school. Parents should spank their children in a moderate way. If you spank your children on their bare bottoms you will see how pink/red the bottom is and this is very important. Also mom or dad should spank in private
