Are Lakeland Terriers Hypoallergenic?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Lakeland terriors are not hypoallergenic, as it has been proven that there you can't get a hypoallergenic dog. This is because some people have allergies to the dogs saliver and dander.
As people have allergies to differnt dog breeds fur, the Lakeland Terrier may not affect some people. If you find that you are allergic to the Lakeland Terrier then you can get a allerpet lotian. The allerpet is basically a lotion which you put on your dog using a cloth, then this prevents the fur, dander and saliver allergies (you can buy this from most pet stores and vets)

If you are looking for a hypoallergenic dog then a poodlecross breed are the best. You can get the labradoodle ( labrador + poodle), the goldendoodle ( golden retriever + poodle), cockapoo ( cocka spaniel + poodle).
There are others you can try like the bichon frise, Kerry blue and many more. If you suffer from a much more serious allergy then you could get a hairless dog, like the chinese cress dog.
