Citizenship can be defined as the status or the membership given to a person in a country. It involves rights, duties and privileges. There are two main types of citizenship i.e. acquired and natural. Thus it is the membership of a political community. It is largely related to nationality. It is about the political rights available to a person within the society A person swears allegiance, loyalty and to his duty towards the country of which he is a citizen.
There are other types of citizen ship also. One of them is honorary citizenship which is given to a person because of his worthiness and admirable qualities. You become a citizen of a country by being born there and citizenship of a country can be acquired after settling down in a place for a certain period of time. It is a topic in civics and children are made aware of their rights, duties and privileges from school itself to enable them to be good citizens of whichever country they belong to.

These are the qualities that i feel a good citizen must include; nobility, worthiness, and respectfulness. Most times when a citizen gets a citizenship award he or she is very active in the community and does everything that he or she can and not expect anything in return.
