My Cat Seems To Be In Shock.....he Needs Help What Can I Do?

I have a male cat that is about a year and a half to 2 years old and yesterday morning was heard outside screaming like it was fighting something. My girlfriend rushed outside and found him laying in the front yard breathing rapidly and irresponsive to his surroundings. She didn't see any other animal around and he has no marks to indicate fighting, however he did lose a significant amount of fur. Later on that day he began exibiting all the symptoms of shock (hypothermia, rapid shallow breathing, dilated pupils, inability to stand, paleness of the nose ears and gums).

This cat needs to be examined and treated aggressively by a veterinarian.  There is not much you can do at home other than keep him warm to try to prevent hypothermia.  I am very concerned your cat has a life threatening injury or disease.  Hypothermia, non-responsiveness, inability to stand, and pale gums are all things that happen when cats are dying.  Please seek veterinary attention immediately!

I'm not very good when it comes to problems concerning pets. But I'm not apathetic either. So I think the BEST THING (and perhaps the right thing) you can do if you're uncertain is to go to the veterinarian. Because animals are such sensitive creatures. One day their jumping up and down the sofa, the next..you don't woven want to think about it.

I have two dogs, both of whom I love dearly, and if anything ever happens to them I think I'd die. ^_^

So, talk to the specialist. It's for your cat's own good. If you love your pet, then no further hesitations on this part.

I think that what your cat was fighting may have been a buffa toad ( boo-fa) (toe-d)  they are poisonous to animals! They can be found in a lot of places they are very big too and usually found at night seek medical attention right away go to a animal hospital right away before its to late! Hurry!!!!!!!!
