Well if you have fabric based vertical blinds, start of by detaching the bottom chains as well as the plates. Remove them off the top hooks and place them on top of each other.
After you have detached all the blinds, put them in a washing machine. Fill the machine with cold water and let the blinds soak for some time. After that add a small quantity of liquid soap in the washing machine, let them soak once again. Apply a delicate cycle for a small period of time while watching over. Do not apply a normal cycle as this might damage the fabric. Check the blinds if they still look pain and dirty let them spin for a second cycle. After the washing has been done hang them up for drying.
