In Our school, we have a fifth grade dance. Your date would be your girlfriend for the year, (No Sex, Just Hug And Maybe Kissing).

No problem at all, both genders should get used to being together as close friends. Many later problems are created by relationship experience starting too late, it is good to understand how each other think and enjoying just experiencing fun together.

I won't agree to that because a 10 year old isn't able to make a good decision on being active friends with the opposite.

us grown ups can do it.Anyway they need to learn to kiss someday and come on what and if someone fancy someone there gonna ask them out sometime anyway, so why not ten.

Who is to decide? It is their lives. Think to when you were 10. You may not have been able to make decisions on some things, but I was best friends with a boy since 5 years. Age is not the all powerful maturity clamer. "Isn't able?" everyone is different. You cannot tell people how to feel.

Its true 10 year olds have just the priority like us okay they cant do to much physical stuff but they can do maybe a kiss on a cheek a hug

Well......... I think that ten is okay cos well look say the person gos and u will never no what that person thought about u .. So its best have a relationship when your ten so u will have a good relationship with that person !

Yes as long as there is nothing that have to do with having sex and getting married and things like that is going on but other wise yes it is okay and just be u and live a good live and i wish u all good luck with u life....

Personally I wish that my parents would have let me do that when i was ten I don't see anything wrong with it. But most people have to wait until they are 16 like me to be able to go out.

I WOULD agree! When someone said 10 year olds can't make the right decisions, think again. When I was ten I was the smartest in my school as the teachers said. I didn't have a boyfriend then, but I think most of the boys were still immature brats....and they still are three years later, except my best friend. Anyway, if it feels right to you and your parents approve, go ahead.

I'd say yes, because if you start playing the relationship roll sooner, it's probably going to be best. When I was ten, we played ZAP! And people would ask out other people, just hang at recess and give a little hug or a kiss on the cheek. If it was a kiss on the lips, it wasn't making out, just a little peck. It's no big deal if your 10 year old has a boyfriend/girlfriend because I'm sure they want one. Nowadays, all the shows are on with boyfriends, girlfriends, and kissing, you would get kind of jealous, in my opinion. Even I wasn't singing back then.

Of course. When i was 10 (which was only a few years ago) i had some girlfriends and i took my current one to my dance. If you are new then dont listen to any advice from tv or other junk. My advice, and i know it sounds cheesy, just be your self. Me and my friends got dumped cuz we lied. But dont just rip out the baby photos. Just tell the truth thats not embarrassing and if they see or hear something embarrassing, confess. Unless its really bad. Then you might wanna make a few HONEST, excuses.

How dare you say that? Who are you to decide what love is? Everybody feels differently. I agree in that most 10 year olds aren't in love, but 1st love is a very powerful thing. AGe is a number. Some 18 year olds might not know what love is, while a 12 year. Love is of the heart, not of the age.
How old are the people on here who have responded? I don't think you all are getting it. Kids can wait. There is no need to act on an attraction at such a young age. Explain to your kids what these feeling mean, but teach them that its not alright to act until they are a much more appropriate age, such as sixteen, or seventeen even. That is why we have so many problems with our children these days. Their heads r not in what is really important for them. They need to learn to sort out all of there emotions that change like the weather, and become responsible people before they can take on such powerful control over their already challenging ability to choose right over wrong.
