How Many Goals Did Jimmy Greaves Score Whilst Playing For England?

Jimmy Greaves scored forty four goals in only fifty seven appearances for England during his career.  

Greaves scored on his debut for England, netting once in a 4-1 defeat against Peru in 1959.  

He went on to play for England regularly until 1967, famously missing out on a place in the World cup Final at Wembley in 1966.  

Jimmy scored six hat tricks for England, scoring four goals twice.  His four goal hauls coming against Northern Ireland in an 8-3 thrashing at Wembley in 1963; he also scored four against Norway, in a 6-1 victory in June 1966.  

In Jimmy's fifty seven appearances for his country, England won thirty of these matches, drawing thirteen and losing fourteen.  

Jimmy's last last goal for his country came against Spain in a two nil victory at Wembley in May ninteen sixty seven.
