Japanese spitz would not be nearly so large (I lived in Japan for a while and trust me, they were about the size of that dog which is still a puppy). I also own an American Eskimo and he wasn't nearly that big as a puppy. As much as I would love to see an American Eskimo in a movie, that was most certainly a samoyed pup.
