    Smoothies are becoming a popular choice of nutrition globally with new shops and kiosks sprouting up worldwide. They are recommended by dieticians and doctors because of the benefits they provide.

    Firstly, they use all parts of the fruit and so contain fibre and roughage as well as the vitamins and minerals found in all fruit juices. Secondly, they have to be consumed immediately and so are always fresh, making their nutritional benefit the best possible at all times.

    Dairy smoothies can be enjoyed in flavours such as chocolate and banana, yet be completely fat free, making them a good choice for people with a sweet tooth. They are also high in fibre and filling which makes them a good choice for people dieting or on strict diets.

    Smoothies contain several fruit and vegetables and so are versatile light meals or healthy snacks which help people consume their recommended daily amounts of these food groups. Home made smoothies are also very cheap which is good for someone with a tight budget that wants to eat healthily.
