According to the company website in the fiscal year 2006, the company had 474,900 employees all around the world, which were 14,100 more employees as compared to the year before. As per the company figures available, 161,000 employees are from Germany alone. That is, 34 percent of their employees are from Germany. There were 127,400 employees from Europe (not including Germany). Thus, 27 percent of their employees come from the rest of Europe. Another 21 percent come from the Americas while 15 percent are from Asia Pacific. Finally, they employ 3 percent from Africa and the Middle East.
