What Is Single Phase Commit And Two Phase Commit?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A single-phase commit switch load file is defined as a type of switch load file which is more useful in applications in which only one resource manager is enabled by XA is used. A single-phase commit is defined as a type of switch load file whose configuration comprises only one database resource.

It does not require the full data integrity. The full data integrity is provided by the XA interface or the two-phase commit protocol. A single-phase commit optimization offers a superior performance for those CICS configurations in which the integrity of the data is not a major problem.

A two-phase commit switch load file is defined as a type of switch load file which is more useful in those applications in which multiple resource managers which are enabled by XA are used.
