The biggest difference between the both is that the F6 has a few more 'gadgets'. From the calories you burned it gives you a % of fat (not really sure how it can determine this but I guess it is a estimate of the calories). F6 can also allow you to download your workouts to your computer.
I personally bought an F4 and love it. I didn't need the downloaded workout to my computer nor did I want the estimate of fat %.
What I needed was how many calories I burned and what is my heart rate.....
