What Did Bryan Ferry Do Prior To Roxy Music?

Bryan Ferry worked as a pottery tutor in London before starting his career with Roxy Music. Ferry studied fine art under Richard Hamilton at the University of New Castle upon Tyne. Ferry started his solo career in 1973.

The Bride Stripped Bare, Bryan Ferry's solo album did not manage to propel his career. He then decided to reunite with Roxy Music in 1983, to record a new album. Ferry married Lucy Helmore and continued to record. His album Buys and Girls in 1985 gained popularity and reached the number one position in Britain.  In 1994, Ferry teamed up with Eno for Mamouna. The band got back together in 2001 and toured extensively but did not record any album. Ferry also starred in the movie, The Porter in 2004. His recent appearance was in Neil Jordan's movie, Breakfast on Pluto (2005).
