    Thank you is a phrase which is universally used and abused. Knowing how to say such a phrase in different languages is a very useful thing. Here's how:

    In French, it is said as 'merci'.
    In German, it is said as 'danke'
    In Italian, it is said as 'grazie'
    In Spanish it is said as 'gracias'                                                                                           
    Another word that you may want to learn in another language is 'Please'                                              
    In French it is said as ' S'il vous plait'                                                                                     
    In German, it is said as 'bitte'                                                                                                                                                 In Italian, it is said as 'per favore'                                                                                                                          
    In Spanish it is said as 'por favor'                                                                                                      
    Another word that could prove useful is 'sorry'                                                                           
    In French, it is said as 'désolé'

      In chinese it is 谢谢, pronounced as "xiexie"
      In Japanese it is ありがとう, pronounced as "arigato"
      In Russian it is вы

      'вы' in Russian means 'You', and 'Thank You' is 'спасибо' - 'spasibo' [spus-see-boh]. 'spus' - like 'bus'...
