    Battle of France was the major engagement of the time of the First World War. It was situated between the German and France. It was taken place on the 21st of July in the year of 1916. The part as the strategy of the battle of Verdun was slow destruction or abrasion. It was believed that Verdun's part of France would guard to the last man. It was the cause that's why the Germans had preferred the fortress of Verdun. The force of Germany was a bit advanced with a minor resistance for a few of four days after an enormous bombardment or attack. In that time, Philippe Petain, the leader of the toughened French army slowed their momentum.

    The hills west of the Meuse River as well as the northern part of Verdun were the attention for bombarding, attacking as well as counter-attacking. The situation was stayed for around two months. Germany became engage into another war in the month of July. It was the battle of the Somme. Germany had deserted the strategy of slow poison or attrition in that time, due to the battle of the Somme. France took the chance and recovered their forts and territory of their own. In the battle of Verdun more than 400,000 French army-men were died. German also took some of casualties.
