Will The Auto Industry Keep Jobs In The US?

If congress is going to bail out the auto industry, shouldn't we force them to create US jobs and less out sourcing overseas ?

That is a good question. The US Auto industry as well as the Unions that provide services to them have played a dangerous game of not paying attention. They have undeniably caused a lot of their own problems just as the banks have with the financial mess. Remember the K car and all those small little 4 cylinder vehicles of the late 70's and 80's? Detroit thought they didn't need to follow the rules and were above reproach just as the unions have priced their labor to such a point that it is near impossible to hire and pay a union employee to build the cars. It would be a shame to see them fall and I really don't think the government will let them but they need to get their acts together quick! The junk that they put out and have for some time is really a rip-off. Every auto manufacturer in the world except the US manufacturers make and market the same vehicle so all the factories can pick up if another were to close or run into trouble. The US 3 are the only one's that have not adapted nor matched the quality of the Japanese, German's and even the Koreans which is a real shame.
