    Remember your stomach is the size of a grapefruit and eat three meals a day based on that size.  Do not snack between meals.  Cut out fizzy drinks, crisps, right back on sweets, biscuits, pastry and cake. Avoid fatty meat and frying.  Try making your own meals so you can see what goes into your meal and use a smaller size plate so you are not encouraged to pile it up.  Eat carbohydrates: Bakes beans, potato, rice, fresh fruit and vegetables.  Get a mix of colours on your plate.  Protein - lean cuts of meat, fish, eggs, dairy products.  Turn off the tele and chew your food well so your brain gets the message it is full.  Drink plenty of water, tea and coffee in moderation.

    Get out and exercise - team sports, swimming, dancing, cycling, walking, gardening, housework.
