The major difference between the ability of person to participate in politics and the willingness of a person to participate in politics is that while everybody is capable of participating in politics, not everybody may be willing to participate in politics.

If a person wishes to participate in politics, he or she must first join hands with a political party and work at the grassroots level in the area from which he or she wishes to contest the election. If the local residents of the candidate's area are impressed with his or her contribution to solving the problems which they face, they will vote for him in the election.

Politicians in most countries of the world do not enjoy the trust and support of the people of those countries because they are not committed to the causes they put forth in their manifestos at the time of the election campaigns. They are generally perceived to be a corrupt lot. This explains why not too many would like to opt for politics as a profession
