It's very simple if you can attach it to your system. When you attach second HDD to your system, Start your system, right click on my computer icon on desktop. Select manage from popup menu. You will see computer management, select disk management from left pan. Here you will see all the hard drives and their partitions. You can format any drive from the list by right clicking and selecting format.
