How To Cite Article In A Book Of Articles With Its Own Editors, Publisher, Date, Etc.

How do I give credit to the specific article in an editors' book of articles AND give credit to the book editors?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The basic principle is that you cite the article first, giving its title in inverted commas, and then the editor, finally the book (eg: In, ed. G.Smith, Reflections on History), but there are variations according to the style guide you are using. For all the popular styles ie MLA, APA or Harvard, please go to the Owl at Purdue. If you click on the relevant style guide you will find precise instructions there for citing individual authors within edited collections, and every other kind of citation you can think of.
