As long as it is a shallow box, easy enough for the kitten to crawl in then it should start straight away, ours did. Good luck

We started on eat 4 weeks old. We took the smallest cat box out there and cut a "little door" in it. Start putting the baby in the potty after it eats.Then start showing her the way in. If your baby is still that small make sure you give the baby back to it's mom to be cleaned.
