What Language Was The Koran Written In?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Koran was originally written in Arabic. It is formerly known as Quran and is also as the Noble Quran. It is the religious text of Islam.
The Muslims believe that Quran in original Arabic was the word of God and was revealed to Prophet Mohammed over a phase of twenty three years. Muslims also say that Quran is the "Final Testament"

The Quaranic revelations were initially memorized by Muslims as Prophet Muhammad spoke them out. They were also written on what ever was available at hand which included anything from stones to barks of trees. Compilations of Quran's were first started under Caliph Umar, but it was Uthman who was determined to have a perfect copy and destroyed all other version. All the Muslims over the world use one Quaran and there is no difference in between the sects.
