My Sewing Machine Won't Pick Up The Bobbin Thread. I Have A Kenmore 15008. What Do I Do?

Did you pull the thread outside the casing when you put it into the machine? If so, it sounds like it might be in backwards. Take the bobbin out, flip it over and put it back into the machine. Hold the "top" thread and turn your machine "wheel" (the wheel on the right side of your machine) by hand. Turn it enough for the needle to go down and then up 1 time. Look under the "foot". If everything is working correctly, you should have a loop of the bobbin thread showing. Pull that thread up and then pull both the bobbin and top threads together for about 6". Place those thread tails toward the back edge of your machine, place your fabric under the foot, lower the foot and then turn that wheel again enough to form your first stitch.  Hope this helps!
