Where Is The Queen's Theatre?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Queens Theatre is built at Shaftesbury Avenue in the West End of London. It lies very close to the Gielgud Theatre. The Queens Theatre was set up in the year 1906, which had a modern shell like structure on its exteriors and interior design like the Edwardian style. Some of the most renowned talents here are Edith Evans, George Bernard Shaw, John Gielgud, Noel Coward, Kenneth Branagh, Marlene Dietrich, Miranda Richardson, Nigel Hawthorne, Jane Lapotaire, Alec Guinness, Fiona Shaw and Maggie Smith.

However, very soon the Queens Theatre is set to take on the Cameron Mackintosh's master plan. In this plan the entrance hall will be merged with the adjoining Gielgud Theatre. Further, the theatre will be converted to a 1200 seats with over two levels. And above all, the roof will be transformed into a new Sondheim Theatre.
