    Arthritis is inflammation of the joints. Causes of arthritis in dogs are

       1. Traumatic injury
       2. Over weight
       3. Bone developmental disorder
       4. Aging.

    There are many types of arthritis in dogs like

       1. Osteoarthritis
       2. Immune mediated Arthritis
       3. Infective arthritis
       4. Arthritis of unknown cause

    Weight reduction, surgery and pain killers are used to treat arthritis in dogs. To treat pain in dogs due to arthritis, non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs are used. You should not use any pain killer including aspirin without supervision of your vet because all drugs can be toxic to your dog. So, it is better to get advice from your vet.
