Answer Question

Under the India act of 1784, a governing board of six members was chosen. two from the British cabinet, and the rest from the privy council. The board had a president, who became the minister for the affairs of the Dutch East India company. It had all powers of control over all the acts and operations relating to civil, military and revenues of the company.
Then under an ammendment  in 1786, Lord Cornwallis was made the first Governer General, and he then became the effective ruler of British India. From then on, the constitution, set up by the Pitts India Act, did not undergo any major changes during the existance of the Dutch East India company's rule in India.
