Is Not Having Kids At A 50th Birthday Party Wrong?

My niece and nephew asked me to host their mothers surprise 50th birthday party. I said yes, but we all agreed it will be an ADULT only party. My home is small on the inside and if it rains we will have to have it inside instead of outside. Also, we just thought it would be great not to have 15 or 20 kids running around, including my own. There are about 45 adults My sis-in-laws Mom is extremely angry that we are not having kids there. Are we wrong?

Not all all! Its your party, you are the host and all the concerned people have agreed that there would be no kids. So an outside person like your sis in laws mom has nothing to do with it. Also once in a while figures like mothers should have some time to themselves, apart from the Ho Ha of kids. I would day you guys are completely right and you should stick to your decision.

Yes of course it isn't wrong. Just invite your sister in law's mom in party, she will forget all her anger after being in that enjoying party & will herself feel how right you were of not inviting kids. Coz i am sure even she won't be able to enjoy party with kids all around messing up around her.
All i hope is that she enjoys adult parties.
