What Are Hydrocarbon Composed Of?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Hydrocarbons are organic compounds. Those substance which are made up hydrogen atoms and carbon atoms are known as hydrocarbons. In hydrocarbons, covalent bonds are present between carbon-carbon atoms and hydrogen-carbon atoms. If double or triple covalent bonds are present between carbon-carbon atoms, then hydrocarbons are categorized as unsaturated hydrocarbon. Unsaturated hydrocarbons have ability to add more hydrogen atoms to one molecule of the substance. If all the atoms are combined by single covalent bonds, then the hydrocarbons are known as saturated hydrocarbons.
