Well there usually isn't a need for a dog to eat wet food at all. It is always best to get a dog started on dry and only dry. It is better for their nutrition, digestive system, and especially their teeth. And if you get them started on wet food they will begin to be very picky and chances are you will never get them to eat the healthier dry. Usually around 6 weeks old the pups can start to eat dry food...or younger depending on if/when their mama stops feeding them. It is OK to wet the dry food with a little WATER no MILK (can cause upset stomach, diarrhea) until their little teeth get used to chewing the hard pieces. Just make sure it is puppy food (they need the extra calories) and feed them that until they are a year old then they can eat the adult dry.

4 to 6 weeks. A soft dry dog food. Add a little water and heat in microwave for 30 seconds. Let cool. Puppy's love it. But makes a mess. Be prepared. LoL...
