    The Yankee stadium can seat an astounding 57,478 people. The stadium is the home stadium of the New York Yankees a baseball team. It is located on the East 161st Street and River Avenue. It is situated in the Bronx in New York City. It officially opened on the 18th April 1923. During major Yankee games the stadium gets packed to capacity and it is indeed a sight to behold.

    During the 1974-75 season the Yankee stadium underwent repairs so the New York Yankees shifted temporarily to the Shea Stadium. It reopened again on the 15th April 1976. The first ever night game in the Yankee stadium was played in 1946.

    Besides baseball boxing tournaments have been held here. From 1950 onwards the Yankee stadium started permitting religious conventions of the Jehovah's Witnesses cult. The famous evangelist Billy Graham has also held large meetings in the Yankee stadium.

    Jehovah's Witnesses cult?....come on, that's so 50 years ago. Almost 7 million world-wide, in almost every land.
