Which Is The Highest Peak In The Himalayas?

Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world and is situated towards the Eastern Himalayas on the Nepal China border. The south face of Mount Everest is accessible from Nepal whereas the north face is accessible from the Tibetan province of China. Namchebazar on the Nepalese side is the most prominent village en route Everest whereas the same from the Chinese side is Rongbuk.

The route to the base camp is more arduous on the Nepalese side and so is the ascent to the top.
