What Does Phil Spector Do?

Phil Spector is a well known record executive and music producer whose claim to fame which came during the 60's was his infamous 'Wall of Sound' technique of production. He is said to be one of the best and the most unique producers in the popular music category. Spector's collaborations in the 70's included Leonard Cohen, the Ramones and Yoko Ono's work 'Season of Glass' in 1981. He wasn't a part of the music scene in the 80's or the 90's because most of his attempts to work (with artists like Celine Dion etc.) fell through.

His last project by 'Starsailor' was called 'Silence Is Easy' which came out in 2003. In the February of 2003 he was also arrested for the murder of Lana Clarkson. One of his court hearings was held in the October of 2005. He was set free with a $1 million bail in April 2006 and will be tried in court on the 16th of January 2007.
