Social groups could be the convergence of peer groups within a/their community to harmonise themselves through the animatoin of their community and their personal social life. This often take the form of an organised outing, play acting, dancing, and football competition, and by extending invitation cards to community members and outside social peer groups to participate in the form of also raising fund for their group.
Whilst interest groups comprise of many people from different family, community, and political background to usher in their mutual interest and other concerns to advocate for their group interest; and are also a very powerful tool to influence the central government on its decision making which they may deem inimical to not only their group interest, but the nation as a whole. And it is certain that they can even partake in some key national issues. In other words, they act as a 'pressure group' on the central government.
