How Many Times A Day To Feed My 4 Week Old Chihuahuas And What Kind Of Food?

Answer Question

You should feed it at least 2 times a day. I started mine with a soft puppy food (i believe it was pedigree or Purina) Then after 7 weeks i began to feed her Purina Puppy Chow, i give her a bit n the AM and she nibbles through out the day.
The puppy really should still be with its mother. At 4 weeks old. But the lady i bought mine from also gave her away to young, so try getting a small container of replacement milk and give it to your pup 2-3 times a day. Not much tho. Just a least a small (pup/kitten) bottle also sold at discount stores pet stores or vet offices.

OOOO, careful with the milk. At four weeks they should be weaned or weaning off. You're right that she shouldn't have been taken away so early but giving her milk isn't a good idea.

The issue here is you'll probably have some behaviour issues. The importance of a puppy being weaned is it teaches the pup it wont always get what it wants and forces it to adapt to fulfilling its needs without being, err, needy and dependent on mom.

Feed the puppy a mixture of puppy chow and water. Use water to soften the chow and let it roll around in it a bit. (well for any one else that needs this answered considering the dog in question is well past this stage now!)
