How Do I Access The BIOS?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Accessing the Binary Input/Output System (BIOS) is easy. If you are just starting up, the first screen should tell you how. Usually it is by hitting the F2 or F3 key. Some computers use the DEL key while others use the ESC key. If you go into windows, click on restart and wait for that first screen to come up to see which key to use. Keep hitting that key until you get into the blue BIOS screen. At this point the only thing you can use is the keyboard's up arrow, down arrow, left arrow, right arrow, tab and escape keys to move in BIOS. If you make any changes nothing will be saved until you agree on the SAVE AND EXIT box that you will see at the end of browsing through the the menus. If you do not wish to save anything then simply advance to the DO NO SAVE AND EXIT box.  Have fun.
