In today’s global business environment, many managers are following the pragmatic approach as it is considered to be a very good approach for becoming a good manager. The main practices that a manager does while following this approach are:
Deciding what should and what should not be done. This would involve the analysis of the scenario and then deciding what is to be done and what is not. A pragmatic manager keeps himself focused and he communicated with his people to keep their participation going and to keep them informed. These managers give feedback and keep on developing the employees for a better future organization.
This approach does not involve becoming emotional while communicating with the employees. The manager communicates as a mentor with the aim of making the employee better. The communication is in a friendly manner but yet professional.
