Who Is The Serial Killer Dennis Rader?

Dennis Lynn Rader was born on the 9th of March in the year 1945 in Wichita in the United States of America. He is basically an American serial killer who is believed to have murdered at least ten people in Sedgwick County in Kansas between the years of 1974 to 1991. He is also referred as the BTK Killer (Bind, torture and Kill). He belonged to a normal family and was the eldest of his four brothers. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force and spent time in various locations including South Korea, Greece and Turkey. After leaving the Air Force he came back and settled and started various jobs in various organizations. It was then that he started his killing spree.

He used to select his victims and then carefully stalk them so that he could get to know their daily life style and habits. He then used to cut the phone line and break in to the houses of his victims and wait for them to return home. He used to over power them, bind them, rape them and then brutally murder them eventually. He used to strangle his victims till they lost consciousness and wait for them to revive and then strangle them again repeating this procedure over and over again. He was arrested finally on the 26th of February in 2005. He was given 175 years in prison without the possibly of parole on the 18th of August 2005.

Dennis Lynn Rader was born on 9 March 1945.Rader was the son of William Elvin and Dorothea Mae Rader. He had four siblings and he was the eldest among them. His hometown was in Wichita and he got graduated from Riverview School and after that Wichita Heights High School. He attended the Kansas Wesleyan University from one year that is from 1965 to 1966 and after that he spend four years in U.S Air Force from 1966 to 1970, during which he travelled to Texas, Alabama, Okinawa, South Korea, Greece and Turkey.

Letters written to the police for the investigation of the murders soon after the crime was committed. After a long time, in the year 2004, these letters were again taken into consideration. The police began to take proper DNA samples of many men in order to find the serial killer. His daughters DNA test samples were also taken after the involvement of her father in the crime scene.
