Answer Question

    To fine the value for x in 1/2(2x-8)+2=35 ½

    I will put it as

    0.5 (2x – 8) + 2 = 35.5

    My multiplying 0.5 with the rest of the equation, the following is what you will get:

    {(0.5 * 2x)  - (0.5 * 8) } + 2 + 35.5

    Which in return, will be equal to:

    (1x – 4) + 2 = 35.5

    I order to equalize the equation you will need to subtract 2 from both sides of the equation.

    If you subtract 2 from each side, the equation will appear as:

    (1x – 4) + 2 - 2 = 35.5 – 2

    Which will be equal to

    1x – 4 = 33.5

    Now again in order to equalize the equation, you will have to add up 4 to both sides.

    If you add up four to both sides of the equation, The equation will be

    1x – 4 + 4 = 33.5 + 4

    It will make the equation equal to:

    1x = 37.5

    You will now have to divide both sides by one.
    That means x will be equal to:

    1x /1 = 37.5 / 1

    therefore,

    x  = 37.5

    I hope it helps and I have explained it properly. If you need anymore help, please feel free to post another question.
