Are There Any Museums For Rudyard Kipling?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are a few museums that explore the life and work of Rudyard Kipling. The main one is Bateman’s, which is a 17th century house that was previously the home of the author from 1902 up until he died in 1936. Bateman’s is located in Burwash, East Sussex, in England. It is open to the public and is decorated as Kipling left it when he died. The museum contains many interesting artifacts, including original drawings for "The Jungle Book". There are also trails and quizzes for children.

There is also a Kipling Society, which is held in the United Kingdom. The society has a research library, which is located within the City University in London. The library houses back issues of The Kipling Journal, which is a quarterly magazine that is sent to all members of the Kipling Society. The journal contains a variety of rare historical and bibliographical information related to Kipling.
