How To Blanch Tripe?

When preparing to cook tripe, how does one go about blanching it to prepare for frying or preparation for other recipes?

    I know you say blanch tripe, this literally means drop/place in boiling water, allow water to return to the boil, remove, drain and 'refresh' in cold water.  However, tripe is a tricky item, if I were you I would cook in boiling water with an onion, bay leaf, pepper corns and carrot for about 3 hrs before frying. Honestly!

    Thank you. I have a recipe that requires you to blanch first and then continue to cook it but it never explained how. I really appreciate the tips on the other ingredients too!
