Just go to www.donotcall.gov click the link Register a Phone Number. Fill in your phone numbers... You can register up to 3 at a time. Be sure to fill in your e-mail address. Immediately go to your email, and open the mail from the registry. You will get one for each number you wish to register. Click on the link in each mail.. You will see a registration complete notice. Print that page and save it, or copy and paste it into a word document and save it. Your phone number will then be registered with the national do not call registry.

Well, luckily I'm with Sprint, and I don't have to pay for the in-coming calls on my deal......That's not right, though.....They really bug me!

Its good that you don't have to pay for the calls, but you will still have to deal with the incoming calls. I think its wrong for cell phone companies to sell our numbers to telemarketers. I've already gotten one call and decided to register all our phones... Time will tell if it actually works. Thanks for your answer... Hugs ya

Hi Mati ,my mom and I get that same call every night just around dinner time. Sometimes it is an automated one. So I hope the do something about this or people will be using an awful lot of wasted minutes. It goes like this: This is your second WARNING that the warranty on your car has expired. One time for funsies I asked the idiot if he new what kind of car I owned ...............guess what, yep you got, it, he hung up.

I then told them this is YOUR second warning.... Take me off your list... Hopefully he will.. I then came home and found the do not call registry. Thanks for answering.. Hugs ya Bif!!

I have probably less than 10 people that are in the "circle" of people that I converse with on the cell phone. And I know all their numbers. So if I don't recognize the number, I don't answer it. Besides, by the time I put on my reading glasses to see the  number, the person usually has already hung up. If it's important, they'll leave a message, and I don't think you have to pay for those(?) But is good advise on your how-to-stop-it-info, will pass it along. You ought to take up being one of those consumer reporters on your local TV news stations in between making lamps and stuff!

My hubby and I are a pair when it comes to the phone, he can't put on his glasses fast enough with the phone ringing, and then, with my phone, the letters and numbers aren't legible at all! Lol so I thought about trading our phones, I can see a might better than he, and read the numbers better, but he doesn't like my phone and won't use it. Lol so, if it is important, yep, they will leave a message. Lol

I am already on the national no call list, and the day I get a call from some idiot, I will remind them that they are not allowed to call me, and to take me off the list. It really is annoying, and easy to remember that when I don't want them to call. Thank you for telling us about this, what a good thing to do dear.
