Are The Seven Seas Connected To Each Other?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Seven Seas of the modern world are widely recognised as:

    Arctic Ocean
    Antarctic Ocean
    North Atlantic Ocean
    South Atlantic Ocean
    North Pacific Ocean
    South Pacific Ocean
    Indian Ocean

If you look at a map of the world and the location of each of these oceans you will see that they are indeed connected. In fact, all of the world's seas and oceans are connected. This is because the world is round and all of the continents are islands in their own rights.

In ancient times, the Seven Seas were thought to be many different combinations, including the following:

    Mediterranean Sea
    Red Sea
    Black Sea
    Adriatic Sea
    Caspian Sea
    Persian Gulf
    Indian Ocean

Again, these are all connected. So the answer to your question is, yes, the Seven Seas are connected to each other, regardless of which individual seas and oceans you consider make up the magic seven.
