Sailor Moon is an old school Japanese anime by Naoko Takeuchi.  It is based on the story of a Moon Princess who has been pretty much reincarnated years later and it is up to 2 talking cats to find out who not only her reincarnation is but the other Planets Princess'.  When they do however find out they all have magical powers and can transform and fight evil, which are pretty much to  enemies of the moon kingdom who want the princess dead so that they can steal all of the princess' aka sailor scouts powers and become the rulers of the universe, their lives began to change and they meet new allies and new princess' of stars and comets and other known universal figures.  Its a really good anime.  It doesn't come on anymore but you can buy the dvds at amazon.com
