Trade with the foreign countries is difficult because of the following reasons:
1) Increased initial uncertainty because of higher financial risks involved in international business
2) Difficulty in sending and receiving money
3) Foreign countries are more subject to uncertainty as the companies know lesser about the foreign country's political and social conditions
4) Conducting market analysis and keeping track of consumer needs is quite easier in domestic countries as compared to the foreign countries
5) The transportation costs and exchange rate fluctuations deteriorate profits

Trading with foreign companies is more complex and difficult because now we have to consider all the different factors affecting our trade at the international levels. First issue is that whether the customers in the other country will like the product or not. If they are in a different stage of exposure to the product then the product has to be modified according to the local needs. You also have to consider the political, economic, social and technological factors of the foreign firm. It is a remote possibility that you will find a firm that will exactly share all your methods but most of the times firms have to make adjustments. You need to be fully aware of the exporting, tariff, taxes and repatriation strategies of the foreign countries. Then promotions should also be done keeping their culture in mind so that any offensive content is not included. All in all, each country has different norms of doing business and a common practice in one country may be considered to be unethical in the other. While trading with these firms you will need to keep in mind all those difference that can translate into big problems.
