What Is Acceptance Speech?

An acceptance speech is a speech  that thanks a person or organization for their items or support in solving a problem, resolving some issue, etc., . Or  a group  wishes to show their gratitude, happiness for a person who has succeeded in a specific area, so they may give out some reward. The person who is accepting their honor usually gives a speech to that group thanking them for the reward and a report on how this will further assist them in problem solving. Acceptance speeches are given by President elects when they become officially the President, Scientists, others give acceptance speeches when they win the Nobel Award. Actors, writers, etc., give acceptance speeches when they win an Academy Award.
