What Is The Plain Upon Which China's Capital Is Located?

The capital of China is Beijing which was formerly called Peking. The city is located on the Northern China Plain. This plain is triangular is shape and the city is located at its northern tip. To the north of this plain are the Yanshan Mountains and in the west of the plain are the Taihang Mountains.  The southern part of the Northern China plain is known as the Central plain and it was considered to be the centre of the Chinese civilization.
