Why Cant Morality Be Equated With Logic?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The major issue is that morality (I think you are probably thinking of Ethics) is based on the ideas of Right and Wrong.  Neither of which can be neatly defined through logic. Logic depends upon agreed-upon starting points, and Humans have a hard time agreeing on these things. These are inherently personal opinions, as evidenced by the current arguments occurring all over the world at this time.   Each attempt to define a particular generalized idea such as murder as either Right or Wrong, results in a never ending myriad of what-if dilemmas.
