Answer Question

The Bibliothèque Nationale de France is one of the most important libraries in France. It is considered as one of the oldest one in global context. The present president of this library is Jean-Noël Jeanneney. The nation's first majestic library, known as Bibliothèque du Roi (means "King's Library"), was founded under Charles V (regime period: 1364 – 1380) which was disseminated. This was followed by another establishment under Louis XI (regime period: 1461 – 1483). During late 16th century, the library was moved to Paris from Fontainebleau. The present name was provided in 1795 and revolutionary appropriations and Napoleon's acquisitions helped it to enhance its collection to a greater extent with several numbers of exquisite collections. In 1995, it moved to a new setup with a controversial design consisting of a large walkway along with four identical towers resembles the shape of a open book. The design is controversial as some people think that the design is too costly just to store books. At present, the library combines more than 12 millions books, periodicals and magazines.
