Tycho Brahe was a Danish Nobleman who is famous in history for his accurate astronomical and planetary observations. Kepler was his assistant, who is known for laws of planetary motion.
Following are some interesting facts about him:
- He had a twin brother, who died before he was baptized.
- He was taken away by his uncle Jorgen Brahe when he was only 2 years old, without the knowledge of his parents.
- He lost part of his nose in a duel during the Christmas season of 1566 and is said to have a replacement made of silver and gold.
- He is said to have one percent on the entire wealth of Denmark during 1580's.
