    Lauren Bacall was a famous, well-known, and well-admired American actress. She was born on September 16, 1924 in New York City, New York in the United States. She is best known for her work with actor Humphrey Bogard. While acting with Humphrey Bogard, the two fell in love and got married. Together they had two children. They shared a wonderful life together both on the big screen and off the big screen.

    She worked a lot as an actress during the 1960s. However, during the 1970s Lauren Bacall took a break from the big screen and worked on Broadway. While working on Broadway, she won a Tony Award for her roles in Applause in 1970 and for Woman of the Year in 1981.

    In addition to her Tony Award, she was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for an Oscar Award for her role as Barbara Steisand's mother in the film 'The Mirror has Two Faces' which premiered in 1996.

    Her most recent films include 'Birth' in 2004 and 'Dogville' in 2003.
